Susan Chan manages the Native Pollinator Program at Farms at Work, which promotes sustainable farming in central Ontario. She holds degrees in agriculture, environmental biology, and education and is dedicated to integrating principles of environmental sustainability and respect for the natural world into the fields of agriculture and education. She teaches in the sustainable agriculture programs at Fleming college and Trent University. Susan is also a beekeeper and is an executive member of the Central Ontario Beekeepers Association. She is the author of A Landowner’s Guide to Pollination and Pollinators in Ontario, to be published by the Peterborough Stewardship Council. Her previous Carden festival event on pollinators fascinated and delighted participants.
